Established in 1937 by J. William Young, Young-Pittman Company pioneered the heating and air conditioning industry for the Shoals area. Prior to establishing Young-Pittman Company, J. Will Young owned a grocery business in Florence for 18 years. At the age of 16, he opened the first restaurant and motion picture show in Florence. In addition, J. Will Young built several buildings in the downtown Florence area occupied by businesses. William Young (Bill) took over the family business when his father retired and ran the company until his retirement in 1990. Young-Pittman Company is family owned and operated and now in it's fourth generation.
The current owner, Robert (Bob) Young has been with Young-Pittman for 38 years and continues the same great service established by his grandfather and father. A new addition to our staff is Jennifer Young, youngest daughter of Bob and Judy Young. Jennifer joined Young-Pittman in April, 2010, as the operations manager. The current staff at Young-Pittman represents over 200 years of service in the Shoals area.
Our trucks are identified and service technicians are uniformed for customer assurance. We provide seven day service and communication with our service department. We constantly update our personnel with changes in products, parts and notification of any problems that may occur. Calls are radio dispatched. We operate fully stocked parts departments servicing most all brands of equipment.
